In addition to representing clients during all stages of litigation at the trial court level, Rogers Towers has experienced appellate lawyers who work with the firm’s trial attorneys to ensure that our clients’ legal positions are effectively presented and preserved during all stages of the litigation process. The firm’s appellate attorneys have experience handling a variety of civil and administrative appeals in a broad range of practice areas, including construction law, insurance coverage disputes, land use litigation, banking law, family law, local government law, and First Amendment law. We also handle appeals of cases tried by other firms and represent organizations wishing to participate in appeals as amicus curiae.
Rogers Towers’ appellate practitioners bring a wide variety of experience to appellate practice, and include an appellate specialist who is Board Certified by the Florida Bar, a former law clerk to a Florida Supreme Court justice, and law clerks to judges on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Collectively, the lawyers at Rogers Towers have handled appeals (including the presentation of oral argument) before the Florida Supreme Court, all five of Florida’s District Courts of Appeal, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Circuits. Our lawyers have also participated in briefing before the United States Supreme Court as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the First, Fourth, Fifth, Eighth, Ninth, and D.C. Circuits, the Arkansas Supreme Court, the New York Supreme Court (Appellate Division) and appellate courts in the states of California and Arizona. The substantial experience of our Firm’s appellate practitioners enables us to employ a wide range of effective strategies and techniques on behalf of our clients throughout the trial and appellate court processes.
