Professional Experience / Bio

As a member of the Labor & Employment Department at Rogers Towers, Lia specializes in representing employers of various industries and sizes in federal court, state court, and before administrative agencies.  Lia handles employment discrimination claims and has experience handling claims arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Lia advises clients on and assists in developing employment policies and procedures, such as employee handbooks.

When employers find themselves in litigation over employment claims, Lia frequently works with the Litigation Department at Rogers Towers to ensure employers are equipped for litigation.  Lia also calls upon the Corporate and Business Transactions teams to help corporate clients in the areas of employment counseling and advice.

During her time at the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law, Lia served as an Articles Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy and Research Assistant for Professor Annie Brett, Ph.D., J.D. She was also a member of the LitiGators Intramural Basketball Team and the First Generation Professional Society.
